Etymology: Family Apocynaceae.
Origin: Tropics of virtually everyone.

This family of plants contains from small herbs to large trees. Only two of the five subfamilies are succulent. Many species of this family have interesting chemical properties, some of them have been extracted rubber, quinine, alkaloids, poisons .... They also have an important ornamental use as oleander.
