هم النباتات العشبية أو الخشبية، مع كامل، يترك العكس، في كثير من الأحيان لحمي ومحلم. تقريبا جميع أفراد الأسرة xerophytic، تتكيف النباتات أي على تحمل فترات طويلة من الجفاف، لذلك هم تمثل بشكل جيد في المناطق الصحراوية.
