Etymology: From the Latin Nerium (oleander) and folia (leaves), due to the relative resemblance of its leaves.
Place of Origin: Endemic to the Canary Islands, Spain. Islands: Tenerife, Gran Canaria, La Gomera, La Palma, El Hierro.

A shrubby plant formed by robust, erect stems, characterized by initially growing with considerable thickness and a rounded tip. It can reach heights of up to 2-3 meters. Elongated deciduous leaves are mainly located at the ends of the stems, emitting a pleasant fragrance, and tend to fall off during dry periods. Abundant tubular flowering, white or yellowish in color. Easy to cultivate.
