Smicrostigma viride (N. E. Brown 1930) Formed by fleshy green stems, as well as the small pointed leaves, arranged in pairs and separated by short intervals. It forms compact clusters and blooms with small yellow flowers. It is highly drought-resistant and often carpets rocky areas or arid terrain. Etymology: From the Latin viridis, meaning greenish.Place of Origin: South Africa, Western Cape and Eastern Cape provinces.
