Glottiphyllum oligocarpum
 L.Bolus 1924

Etymology: From the Greek oligo ("few") and the Latin carpum ("fruits"), in reference to its few fruits.
Place of Origin: South Africa, Western Cape province and to a lesser extent the neighboring ones.

Elongated, fleshy leaves arranged in pairs, deep green in color with a slight curve. Forms very low clumps, almost ground-covering. Produces yellow flowers resembling daisies, typically in autumn. It is commonly found in arid, sandy, or rocky soils. Although it tolerates high sun exposure, it often seeks some sun protection under rocky ledges or other plants. It is widely used in xeriscaping due to its hardiness and ease of covering spaces.
